Steak entree was good, well was too much, potatoes were awesome. The jalapeno burger was very flavorful but the grease dripping were s bit much. The steak fries were seasoned well.
We started with beers and cheese curds. The beer was good - the curds amazing! Next we moved on to burgers and fries - both tasty but nothing too special. Finally we gave the Mac n cheese a try - after applying a lil salt it was actually very good! The only complaint I have is that although the place wasn't very busy - the kitchen was slow to push out food. From our seats we could watch the kitchen staff and they look to still be looking to find their rhythm.. ( btw: our waitress Christine was stellar).
Was looking forward to trying something 'new' but was disappointed. The restaurant is not clean (dirty silverware on the floor, debris and uncleaned tables scattered about, dirty booths, etc. We were told there was a 20 minute wait and there were tons of tables available literally right in front of us - and no one else waiting. My husband ordered a beer - they were out of the first one he asked for (which was ok); I ordered a dirty martini (hard to mess up) and it must have been made with simple syrup - sent it back. The appetizers we asked for we're sold out. The stadium burger (recommended by the waitress) was one of the worst we've ever had out: the patty was obviously frozen, no seasoning, super thin, and incredibly dry. The fries were decent. We also had a Caesar salad which didn't have the avocado as stated in the description. The server was pleasant. Will not be coming back.
Delicious at an okay price.
We went for the first time today (after voting) and were greeted with a friendly smile and shown to our booth in the dining area upstairs. The server was very friendly and knowledgable about the beer and especially the dark beers including stouts and porters. I had the Geek Beer burger (with a $2.00 up charge for Sweet Potato fries). I asked that the applewood bacon be crispy and it was. Everything was excellent including the porter she had recommended. We'll definitely return.
Nice atmosphere with local game on.
The pretzels were very tasty and the accompanying cheese was good but not awesome, needed to be hotter with a more fluid consistity. The big red beer was heater that the 71 ( so much I got a growler to go).
The beers were decent. Service was ok, bar was understaffed so things took a bit, bartender was nice/friendly. Little slow for a timely lunch turn and burn(it was a Monday too). Kitchen still needs work. All 3 of us ordered burgers, rare, medium and salmon burger. We ordered a seafood app because one in our party doesn't eat meat, but they were out so we had to scramble to readjust what we ordered. The rare burger was cooked to well done and plated cut open so both grill cook and expo missed the mark. The medium burger was also cooked to well done. Salmon burger was a little overdone/dry. Didn't ruin my experience, I'd give them a second try, by myself, only because I live so close(walking distance) but the need to step up their game to justify the price.
