Other reviews have said the front office staff could use some work, and yes, I agree that one of the receptionists in particular often acts annoyed with any minor question or request, but she is such a minimal part of my care and treatment here that I wouldn't think of leaving or giving a bad review due to her alone.
They are too big!!! I saw Dr. Charles, and she is a doll. So sweet, professional, all around great. But the nurses and the staff....! It is impossibly hard to schedule any time with the Dr. cause they are "always taking new patients" but they can barely even see the ones they have. After I had my son,10 days later, I began bleeding again and I kept calling and calling and calling cause I was in more pain than the last days and bleeding. They kept giving me the runaround and one lady I am certain lied to me and said she spoke to the Dr. when in reality she hadn't. They all just kept acting as though I was just some annoying first time mom and was making stuff up. I PLEADED to please just let me speak to the Dr. or give her my msg. cause I knew if she was told that she would care. Eventually I got the courage to look down there and saw that I hadn't healed right and had a secondary opening from my stitches not healing. i called, freaking out, and even then it was days and nobody would let me see/speak to the Dr! They were going to have me wait 2 months for an appt. Finally I said just schedule me with ANYONE, seriously. Finally she said she would speak to the Dr. Spahn, who delivered my son (sadly it hadn't been Dr. Charles) and tell him what I was saying. They called me back and just told me to go to the ER cause "that's where they send all the patients who have my problem". So we go to the ER with my newborn and do that whole ordeal just to have the dumb ER Dr. just call Dr. Spahn on the phone and tell him the EXACT same thing I had told them over the phone (what it looked like, felt like etc.).Then Dr. Spahn just tells her that it'll heal on its own and to prescribe me some estrogen. WHAT?! So when I called over the phone and TOLD them what I had, I couldn't be believed or something, my puny little mind couldn't be trusted enough to say what I had seen and felt. I had to pay almost 2k from an ER visit, waste hours of my time, with my newborn son in an ER, for her to see me for literally 5 mins. and send me off. He could've called me? He could've asked the nurse to call me and ask other questions. They could've SEEN ME like I begged for weeks. After your child is born they don't care about you. There is no time for you. WORST PART is that the dumb medicine did NOT work. It did NOT heal on its own and I had to suffer with the pain and emotional turmoil of having my private parts be improperly healed. II had to see many more Drs. and have a perineoplasty to fix the problem. And no, not because it was cosmetic, but because I was in pain and couldn't even have intercourse. It also resulted in weakened pelvic and abdominal muscles because my pelvic floor never healed right. It makes me so angry. This isn't Dr. Charles' fault, cause again she was so caring and took her time. My prenatal care with her was wonderful. It all went to crap the day of my delivery when I wasn't able to have her there and Dr. Spahn had to come in instead. He also just cut my son's umbilical cord like instantly even though I had asked Dr. Charles AND him to wait. She said she always waits around 2 minutes to cut the cord anyways. Him? SNIP. I was so exhausted and honestly just somewhere else after my son was finally out that I wasn't paying attention to the cord or anything else. But I had told HIM. And he just wanted to be out. I can't be sure that the problem I had was from him not stitching me right or what happened really,but he was seriously there like 15 mins. tops. He just wanted to be out of there. Not personable at all. I hated it...To follow that up with the uncaring and stupid follow up their staff gave me, it was just very traumatic to me. If they are still taking new patients as their website/phone message used to say 1.5 years ago, I say go to another practice that is smaller. Their negligence caused me so much grief AND money.
HORRIBLE! They used to great but are too big to know what is going on anymore. Recently received a FIRST bill the claim is past due- not to mention right on the bill it states they have a new billing system, could it have been their issue not mine?? I paid every bill I got from them and now they claim I owed more? Can't even get in for appointments when you think you are having an issue. GOODBYE and NEVER go here!
I attend the Dublin office it's okay. I just feel like I blend in with the crowd. No one seems to care about how I feel being pregnant. I was having extreme nausea and vomiting , my doctor basically said tough it out. I was literally in bed for a week and a half because i felt so ill. I just want them to act like they care. Listen to the patients. People matter. For God sakes women hate going to the obgyn. Make it a comfotable experience please.
I have been seeing Dr. Bethany Hahn since I first found out I was pregnant with my 2.5 year old son. She is a very kind and attentive doctor and I've been very pleased with interactions with her. Her nurses are always kind and understanding, and always very thorough on any phone call or with any questions I may have.
The receptionist at the Dublin off is not personable at all and is acts as if you are bothering her when coming in for your appointment. Currently seeking a new OB simply due to the customer service aspect.
