I recently purchased a new Vanquish from MAG Aston Martin and I have to say, it was one of the best experiences ever. The whole process was quick and simple even though I live in California. I received the car within 5 days of completing the transaction and everything was delivered as promised. Everyone at MAG was very friendly and honest. I will definitely be doing more business with Doug Horner and MAG.
As a Ferrari fanatic, it is always tradition to visit a dealership if you are ever near to one. Well, when one is in Coloumbus, you must visit the Ferrari and Maserati dealership in Dublin. Yes, it is a little bit of a drive out, but it is worth the trip. Since most people do not buy Ferraris on a daily basis, the dealers at MAG were not expecting a teenager to walk in the door and place $250K on the table. However, despite my age, the people at MAG treated me like a potential customer. In fact, my friend and I were able to actually start the new Ferrari California and the (now old) Ferrari F430 Spider; what a sound. We were also taken to the service garage and shown around. Needless as it is to say, we were in awe. Perhaps that's why we both spent well over $200 on memrobelia, but it was worth it. These wonderful people at the dealership certainly made a great impression on us and we will be back soon, maybe in twenty years to finally purchase one of the finest vehicles on earth. Scuderia Ferrari!
So, I'll try to stay away from bashing and just tell my story so you can decide for yourself if you want to deal with MAG. Approx. 2 weeks ago my wife and I went to look at some BMW's to replace her 2 door honda, found what looked like a good deal on a 535i. We sat down with a salesman, go our car appraised for 3k less than KBB trade-in value, but that was expected. So after multiple calls to his manager, he said he could not budge on the price or increase our trade-in, said the car was priced as low as it would go. period. Well after continuing to follow up on the car for 2 wks and putting her car up for private sale to get a little extra, the salesman said he worked hard for us to get it down $1k off the list. We said great, had arranged to sell our car and said we would be in the next day. Later that night, the car went up on the internet for $2,200 off the original price that supposedly was the bottom line. We called the next morning, said we needed a lil extra for trade and if so would be in ASAP to get the car. We were told by the salesman he could probably make it happen and to come in. So, in the 10min it took us to go to the bank and get a cashiers check for extra down payment and then get to the dealer, someone evidently came in and paid cash for the car we had worked 2 weeks to get. I understand anyone can come in and buy a car before others, but the lack of customer service and respect from the sales staff was upsetting. They did not want to work to sell a car, more of the nonchalant attitude that customers are there to serve them. Not to mention a courtesy call to tell us someone else was test driving/interested in the car and we may want to either hurry on in/put a down payment down earlier/or abort the trip in would have been at the least standard for most dealers interested in their customers. Instead we went to Mercedes Benz of Easton that had BMW we wanted, customer service and the entire experience was top notch. Avoid MAG, avoid MAG, avoid MAG!......unless you want to work harder to come up empty handed, frustrated and disappointed. My advice is go elsewhere.
