It took over five minutes to be seated. At the time we were the only party waiting. We received no greeting before that time. When we were seated, we were lucky enough to be seated in Brittany's section. She was wonderful and got us happy hour prices right at the time it should have been ending! You just can't beat those happy hour FIVE DOLLAR APPETIZERS!!! The HUGE nachos are to live for... Be prepared to share with a few people or have it as your entire meal. Though I could do without the shredded lettuce on top, they are quite tasty and l love that they have black beans rather than meat!
Service is great. The food is ok, but honestly nothing special. The cookies are absolutely amazing though.

Edit: went here more recently and the cookies are less than half the size than they were before. They were rock hard and not at all worth the calories. Speaking of calories look at the calorie counts on the menu. Everything is OVER 1000 calories except for the steak. I chose the steak and it came out very dry and tasted microwaved. Service was still great though! The food does not taste good enough for the calories to be so high. The only thing I enjoyed was the cookie skillet we all split, but it would be really difficult to mess that up.
I am very happy we stopped in at Max and Erma's. We had great service and our waitress was real attentive to our little girls! She was extra friendly to our girls and that made our experience fun.
Went here with my family for dinner. My dinner was spectacular and my grandmother was extremely happy about the gluten free options. I highly recommend coming here if you live in the area or just around for a trip. Tyler was our waiter and he was extremely nice. Maybe the best service I've ever had.
The kids meal chicken tenders meal was REALLY good. My granddaughter could not even finish all the yumminess served in her basket (GOOD, solid breast meat). The three course burger meal for under $11 was a delicious deal. Thanks for a pleasant experience on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. We WILL return to the Sawmill location!!!
